Pain Coaching is an evidence-based modality rooted in coaching psychology and neuroscience.
Living with chronic pain can feel overwhelming, isolating, lonely, exhausting, maddening, boring, frustrating, hopeless, and a hundred other tough things.

You deserve someone who understands what it’s like to be in pain and can walk this path with you. Sara has been there and she gets it.
Going at your own pace, Sara will guide you to find what works for you and how you can reach your goals. Sara’s compassionate approach to coaching pulls from pain neuroscience, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, the biopsychosocial model, positive psychology, mindfulness-based stress reduction, mind/body connection, strengths and values, and motivational interviewing.

Pain Coaching is a valuable tool for people experiencing many painful conditions including chronic headaches, NDPH, migraine, back pain, CRPS, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, arthritis, nerve pain, chronic GI symptoms, and more.
In a 2020 study published in PLOS One, a peer-reviewed science and medicine journal, investigators found that chronic pain patients who completed a 12-month pain coaching program experienced clinically significant reductions in pain intensity and improvement in psychological and physical functioning.

"After suffering for a year and being told by specialists that they couldn't help me, I found this gem, Sara, who is helping me overcome the constant pain of arthritis. She is very empathetic and positive in her approach and has been far more helpful than the many doctors I consulted. I highly recommend Sara as a Chronic Pain Coach."
